Ecommerce Packaging
Custom ecommerce packaging for products, kits and subscriptions.
Plan mailers, product boxes and paper inserts around the items you ship. We help you compare fit, closure, packed size and the opening experience, with shipping protection checked for your product and route.

Inputs for an ecommerce packaging brief
- Product dimensions, weight, photographs, orientation, accessories, and vulnerable surfaces.
- Single-unit, bundle, kit, mixed-order, subscription, or replacement shipment configurations.
- Packing location, manual or automated steps, measured constraints, and label workflow.
- Buyer or fulfillment-partner parcel limits, carrier requirements, and route conditions.
- Opening, tamper indication, resealing, returns, disposal, and customer-instruction needs.
- Artwork, required copy, barcode, label, variable data, quantity, variants, destination, and timing.
Review the complete shipment.
Pack-out
Approve product list, shipment configurations, orientation, size basis, closure, insert, and current dieline.
Movement
Pack the actual product or representative geometry and review edges, surfaces, void space, opening, and repacking.
Route
Define any buyer acceptance method, route check, carrier requirement, or agreed packed-product test.
Release
Record unit and master-carton packing, dimensions, gross weight, labels, sample reference, inspection points, and owner.
Reduce avoidable volume with evidence.
Start with the maximum product envelope and the spacing or protection required. Compare flat, assembled, unit-packed, and master-carton forms. Unused space can affect material, dimensional weight, storage, packing labor, and movement. A smaller package must still pack reliably and protect the actual shipment. Record the reason for each size change and repeat the relevant fit or route check.
Plan the unboxing and return sequence
Map what the customer sees and removes: shipper, opening feature, product, insert, accessories, instructions, and disposal or return information. Keep decoration from blocking required labels, weakening closure, or adding steps without a clear purpose. For subscription or kit formats, maintain a component and artwork matrix because changing contents can alter weight distribution, fit, carton size, and packing instructions.
Frequently asked questions
Is one mailer suitable for every product?
No. Weight, fragility, movement, closure, parcel handling, moisture exposure, void space, and required evidence vary by product and route.
Should the retail box also be the shipper?
It may reduce components, while exposing the presentation surface to labels, abrasion, dirt, impact, or opening. Compare route, customer experience, protection, and return needs.
How can an insert change delivery cost?
It may improve organization and fit while changing dimensions, material use, assembly time, and flat-pack efficiency. Compare the packed shipment.
What should be measured first?
Measure maximum product dimensions and weight, then list every item in each shipment configuration with photos, quantity, destination, and packaging role.
Protection, route suitability, carrier acceptance, recyclability, and damage outcomes require evidence for the exact package, product, packing method, and route.
